We can't figure out what kinds of dog she is; maybe she's part bat. Check out those ears!

Gidget, week two
We're back from our vacation and picked Gidget up on Saturday. She was pretty excited to see us--but REALLY excited to see Kelly and Sally. She expressed her pleasure with being back with us by rolling around on the grass all over the yard.
We tried crating her when she first came to our house, but she managed to escape the crate each day! We're leaving her loose with Kelly and Sally and Gidget hasn't had a single accident yet. Yay!
She is doing some redecorating, though!

Sally, enjoying the beach
We're away this week at the beach. Here's some video of Sally, Gidget's foster sister, enjoying the water and sand.

Week one round-up
Here's what we think about Gidget at the end of week one: she's a super smart girl--she learned "drop it" and "shake" this week! She's playful, but calms down when you ask her to. She loves to play with other dogs but is definitely submissive in doing so. She loves to be near her people when inside, but is happy to self entertain in the same day--throwing her toys around or taking a few sprints around the house.
She's off to a little vacation at daycare this week, but will be back with us next week.

Gidget's settling in
Gidget has been hanging out with the two resident dogs and generally relaxing. She sleeps quietly all night in her crate and loves her morning walk. In the evening, we go to the park and play ball for a bit. Her favorite thing is to chase the bugs around the garden, or to wrestle a bit with her rope chew toy.
Gidget is a little shy at first when meeting new people, but we've had a lot of people come by over the past few days and she's learning that new people usually come with treats!
She's a joy to be around: she loves to play, adores belly rubs, and is a bit of a velcro dog in that she follows you from room to room.
More pics to come soon!

July 4th with Gidget
Meet Gidget
Gidget is the sweetest little girl! She is playful and loves everyone. She is approximately 8 months old. She was found as a stray... poor little girl with no place to call home. Right now she is enjoying time in doggie day care and playing with lots of puppies. What she really wants is a home of her own! Gidget is a smart and agile girl who wants to please. She is a little lovebug who wants to cuddle up at the end of the day. She can jump and climb a 4 ft. fence so we can't consider applicants who have a fence under 5 ft. Gidget can be a little too playful with cats so a home without cats would be best.
